Vaccination against hepatitis
- Vaccination against hepatitis B is free at the GGD for men who have sex with men
- You can get the hepatitis A vaccination at the same time
- If you are not yet (fully) vaccinated against hepatitis B, you can get the combined vaccination against hepatitis A+B for free.

Hepatitis B vaccination
The hepatitis B vaccination consists of 3 injections. When you have had all 3 injections, you are usually protected against hepatitis B for the rest of your life. So make sure you get all 3!
Hepatitis A vaccination
You can also be vaccinated against hepatitis A. This virus is more common among gay men. That is why the GGD recommends that men who have sex with men also get vaccinated against hepatitis A.
Twinrix against hepatitis A and B
When you are at the GGD for your hepatitis B vaccination, you can also have yourself vaccinated against hepatitis A. This vaccination is called Twinrix. If you are not yet (fully) vaccinated against hepatitis B you can get Twinrix for free. For a seperate hepatitis A vaccination you do have to pay.
