Do you live in the Haaglanden area? Then you can get tested for STDs through Testlab. NB: you first get a referral letter at Mantotmantestlab.nl. When you have your letter, you can make your appointment for the test at RHMDC. Choose appoinment type (at the dropdown menu under 'selecteer uw onderzoek') 'Anonieme soatest mantotman', and fill in your postal code. You will then see all the locations to get tested at.

Do you live in or close to Rotterdam? Then your STD test will take place at GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond.

How can you make an appointment?

  • Fill in the questionnaire at mantotmantestlab.nl
  • Fill in the postal code of Rotterdam-Rijnmond region and choose Rotterdam
  • The Testlab questionnaire will direct you to the appointment system of GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond
  • Fill in the questionnaire and make an appointment online. Please note: you have to confirm the appointment with a code you get via e-mail
  • You will get a confirmation of the appointment via email. You can change or cancel your appointment via this email
  • Do you have complaints or are you informed about an STI other than gonnorhea? Go to your GP or the GGD STI clinic directly instead

What should you do before the appointment?

  • If you do not have sex in the two weeks before your appointment, you can be sure the STI test is reliable
  • The questionnaire must be filled in completely before the appointment. If you haven't done it right away, you can complete it via the e-mail with the confirmation of your appointment
  • Take your vaccination record with you. At Testlab Rotterdam it is possible to get a vaccination against hepatitis A/B. Read more about hepatitis A and hepatitis B

How is the STD test done?

  • During a Test Lab appointment, standard testing is done for HIV and syphilis (blood), LGV (anal) and gonorrhea (anal, urine and throat). Have you been warned about another STD? Then make an appointment with your GP
  • The nurse or doctor's assistant will take a blood sample
  • You can do the other STD tests yourself in the toilet: urine in a jar, anal swab and throat swab. How to perform the tests will be explained during the consultation. There is also information in the toilet

How can you get the results?

Within 2 weeks you will receive an email or text message with the results of your test. Unlike other Testlab locations, at Testlab Rotterdam there is no code or account to view your results online.

You can use Testlab Utrecht: 

  • If you may have contracted an STI
  • If a sex partner has gonorrhoea
  • If a sex partner has chlamydia and symptoms 

Do not use Testlab Utrecht:  

  • If you are taking an STI test for the first time
  • If you have symptoms of an STI
  • If you need treatment right now
  • If you have been warned of HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B or C, LGV, trichomonas or scabies 

In these cases please make an appointment online at the GGD or with your GP.

How to make an appointment? 

  • Enter your postcode at mantotmantestlab.nl
  • Fill in the questionnaire  
  • Choose an available location near you and make an appointment for your STI test 

How to prepare? 

  • Testlab Utrecht does not work with referral letters. You do not need to bring anything with you to the appointment
  • Look carefully where you need to be in the building. This is written in the confirmation email. 

How does the STI test work? 

  • You do the throat, anal and urine test yourself. A staff member will take a blood sample
  • You will get a sticker with codes during your appointment. You need these later to log in to see your results 

How will you receive the results? 

  • You will receive an e-mail within 7 working days informing you that the results are available
  • You can use the link in the e-mail to log in with the codes you received during the appointment. You will then receive a verification code on your phone
  • Lost the code? Then call 030-8003321 on weekdays between 9:00-12:00 and 13:30-16:30.

What do you do if you have an STI? 

  • Make a follow-up appointment for treatment on the same page where you could also see your results
  • During the follow-up appointment, you will be given the medication and related information
  • Make sure you report to the right place. This is written in the confirmation email.
