If you have HIV, it is recommended to receive 2 vaccinations against mpox. Also in case you were born before 1974 and vaccinated again smallpox as a child.

Did you receive two vaccinations against mpox before? Then you have enough protection against mpox. You don't need an extra shot against mpox.

Are you not sure if you have HIV or not? Ask your doctor to get tested for HIV. Contact your GGD or general practitioner (huisarts).
